Hi everyone! My name is Mariya and I am originally from Bulgaria. I spent the last seven years in Vienna, where I acquired a Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology and Genetics and a Master’s Degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Vienna. Currently, I am part of the team of Prof. Dr. Claudine Kraft at the University of Freiburg, where I try to understand what is the functional role of scaffold proteins during autophagy initiation and autophagosome formation.
