Fraunhofer IME ScreeningPort- IME-SP- Germany
I am Romanian with Iranian roots. After graduating from high school I moved to London (UK) where I did my Bachelors of Science in Pharmacology and Physiology at University of Westminster and Master of Science in Drug Discovery Skills at King’s College London. Currently, I am part of the drug discovery team at Fraunhofer IME Screening Port in Hamburg where I work under the supervision of Dr. Ole Pless. The aim of my PhD project is to discover potential small molecule modulators of autophagy and to gain a better understanding of underlying mechanisms of autophagic flux. I will be mainly focusing on using high content imaging technology and designing and applying the appropriate assays that allow finding and validation of drug candidates for preclinical testing.
