I studied Molecular Biology & Genetics at the Istanbul Technical University (Turkey) and obtained my diploma in 2015, and followed my M.Sc. in Molecular Biology, Genetics and Bioengineering Program at Sabanci University (Turkey). In Sabanci University, I studied in Gozuacik Lab where investigated the regulation of autophagy through microRNAs and developed a nanoparticles-based, microRNA-functionalized gene therapy system specific to target breast cancer cells. Now, I joined to Dr. Vladimir Kirkin’s Lab at the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) in London to work on the concept of selective autophagy by discovering novel receptors interacting specifically with autophagic cargo molecules.
