My name is Stavroula Zagkou and I come from Athens, Greece. After completing my studies in Pharmacy and a Research MSc degree (Drug Innovation) in Utrecht, the Netherlands, I joined the DRIVE consortium. Within Adjuvatis and the Laboratory of Tissue Biology and Therapeutic Engineering (LBTI) (Lyon, France), our aim is to modulate autophagy with Toll-like or Nod-like receptor ligand-functionalized particles for therapeutic purposes. Ultimately, we wish to advance autophagy research towards translation. When I am not immersed into autophagy or making particles, I enjoy music, travelling and being outdoors. I am also still trying to locate the best Lyonnaise bouchon in town!
